Fans of Lady Gaga have been waiting all week for some tantalizing info from the pop idol, ever since Christmas Day, when she promised her Little Monsters that she

would reveal some primo news via Twitter on New Year's Eve.

Gaga kept to her word, and last night while the world was counting down to the start of 2011, the pop star shared a trifecta of exciting news with her devoted following. She unveiled the racy cover photo of 'Born This Way' (she isn't wearing meat, in fact, she isn't wearing anything from the waist down). And she also specified the 2011 release dates for both the title track and the 'Born This Way' album.

The Grammy winner tweeted her provocative, pantsless black-and-white cover image, and said: "THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11."
That's a Feb. 13 release for the single, and May 23 for the album, her second studio effort. Her best-selling 'The Fame' was the award-winning debut album that took the music industry by storm less than two years ago, in August 2008. Time flies!

No stranger to making big promises, Gaga recently told concergoers in Europe they would not be disappointed in 'Born This Way': "I promise to give you the greatest album of this decade." Knowing the 24-year-old hitmaker's dedication to her fans, she'll certainly do everything she can to make good on that vow.

One of newlywed Russell Brand's 2011 resolutions just might be: Think twice before you tweet.

The outrageous British comic, married in a lavish October ceremony in India, decided to post an unflattering snapshot of wife Katy Perry to his followers.

Brand, 35, quickly removed the candid closeup, but not before it leaked to fans and the press.

In the Twitpic, Perry, 26 -- known for her impeccable styling -- appears to have just woken up to a camera aimed at her pillow. She's seen grimacing, without any makeup on her face.

Over the holidays, Lisa Rinna tweeted a casual family pic in which she's seen in her pajamas without makeup, and the TV star proudly defended herself after a follower made a nasty remark about her appearance in the photo. But in Perry's case, the bleary-eyed image that Brand went public with struck many as the kind of prank most couples would laugh about privately, and then delete off their camera.

Let's hope the duo's famous sense of humor survives this mini-scandal! Perry's hit 'Teenage Dream' does kick off sweetly: "You think I'm pretty without any makeup on." Still, that intimate lyric doesn't exactly translate into: "You think the world should see me without any makeup on...Go for it!"
As far as their careers go, the two are definitely on a hot streak: Perry has been nominated for four Grammys this year, while Brand can be seen in Julie Taymor's new feature film take on William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest

We know what happened in 2010, but what can we expect in the upcoming year?

PopEater gathered four celebrity experts -- our very own Naughty But Nice Rob Shuter, Celebenomics expert Jo Piazza, HollywoodLife's editor-in-chief Bonnie Fuller and Gossip Cop's Michael Lewittes to discuss what they think will happen in 2011.

So what's in store for Lindsay Lohan? Will those crazy kids on the 'Jersey Shore' still be famous? And do Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart stand a chance once 'Breaking Dawn' finishes filming? Find Out What They Think!

Lindsay Lohan, Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen all had a rough year. But can they make their comebacks? For Lindsay, and Sheen -- definitely. But Gibson's career is in the toilet, according to our experts.

"Lindsay's going to take the year off. Charlie's going to have a comeback because it's already happened. And Mel Gibson isn't going to have the opportunity to have a comeback," Lewittes explains.

"Lindsay needs this year off, " Piazza agrees. "In fact, if we see or hear anything about her, then she's done."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie always talk wistfully of adding to their already-huge brood of kids. This may be the year they adopt again.

"She's going to adopt and it's going to be from Africa. Probably from Namibia," Fuller predicts.

Adds Jo, "I think Angie and Brad are itching for more babies."

But Michael disagrees. "I think they are probably exhausted from all these kids."

It doesn't matter what Snooki and The Situation do on the 'Jersey Shore,' 2011 will be a big year for them, our experts say. But what do they really want to happen?

"What I'd like to see is the 'Teen Mom' - 'Jersey Shore' crossover, where Amber starts dating The Situation," Piazza offers.

Their 'Twilight' romance is well documented, but will Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart last once their vampire-sheen fades away?

"I think they will end up being very good friends, but absolutely no more romance come the end of 2011," Jo concludes

ABBA singer Agnetha Faltskog has fueled rumors of the band reuniting for Prince William's wedding next year by saying that they would be open to reforming for special occasions.

Swedish news website The Local reports that Faltskog said in a magazine interview that one-off events, such as performances for charity, could see the group reunite.

Faltskog told M Magazine, "A reunion, an occasional opportunity, maybe in connection with a charity event, I believe we could consider it.

"We would not reunite for a tour like the Rolling Stones and other old bands do now. However, I could see us doing something together in the future. It is just a feeling I have that it would be fun to get together, talk a bit about the past and maybe perform together."
The news comes amidst rumors that the Swedish foursome could be set to perform the wedding Prince William and Kate Middleton, which will take place on April 29 next year.

Digital Spy reports that Bookmaker Ladbrokes has laid down odds of 66-1 on the band playing at the wedding.

Kanye West's video for the track 'Monster' has leaked all over the Internet. The six-minute video for the rapper's latest single is supposedly incomplete, but the footage

available online packs a big punch.

Kanye West's 'Monster' video is somewhat of a creepy mini-film, a modern 'Thriller' with enough gore, zombies feasting on flesh, decapitated heads, and blood to make Michael Jackson turn over in his grave. 'Monster' features cameos from Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver and Nicki Minaj.

Minaj could be considered more of a co-star to Kanye's lead. In one scene, Minaj is shown with gold fangs, acting as a dominatrix to another version of herself in a white dress, wearing her signature pink wig. Watch the video after the jump
Monster' is from West's latest album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'. The album debuted atop the Billboard charts in November, selling close to 500,000 copies in its first week.

John Mellencamp and his model wife are taking some of the sheen off all the recent celebrity engagements by delivering some sad news. The 'Pink Houses' rocker, 59, and Elaine Irwin Mellencamp, 41, announced through a spokesman on Thursday that they are "calling it a day as a couple" after 18 years of marriage and 20 years together.

"John and Elaine Mellencamp are proud of their 20 years together and are very happy with their accomplishments both as parents and as a family," the statement reads.

The couple will continue to raise their two children, sons Hud and Speck, in his home state of Indiana.

No reason was given for the split and it's unclear if they have filed for divorce. This is Mellencamp's third marriage.
The pair met on a photo shoot when Elaine, a bonafide supermodel at the time, was hired to appear on the cover of his 1991 album, 'Whenever We Wanted.' They were engaged 10 weeks later and married the next year. The cover of that album:
Mellencamp's latest album, 'No Better Than This,' was released earlier this year.

Avril Lavigne is getting ready to debut her 'What the Hell' single on 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest' -- a performance that will also mark the beginning of a highly visible year for the Canadian rocker, who recently celebrated Christmas with boyfriend Brody Jenner and the Kardashian clan.

'What the Hell' is "a really fun, upbeat party song, so it worked out really well to play it for the first time on 'New Year's Rockin' Eve," she tells PopEater.

She also says, "I want to get a little shiny, so I'm wearing a silver dress with spiky shoes."

"The song is more reminiscent of some of my old pop rock stuff," adds Lavigne, whose fourth studio album, 'Goodbye Lullaby,' will be released March 8. "The rest of the album is more stripped down, deeper. All the songs are very emotional. The other albums I've done, the songs are all over the place. This is the most consistent album all the way through."
A lot has happened to Lavigne since her last album, the 2007 'The Best Damn Thing' -- including her divorce from Sum 41's Deryck Whibley, who continues to be her friend and collaborator, and the start of her romance with 'Hills' alum Jenner, son of Olympic legend Bruce Jenner. Was it a catharsis to write the deep, emotional songs on "Goodbye Lullaby"?

Was it a catharsis to write the deep, emotional songs on "Goodbye Lullaby"?

"I guess you could say that," she answers. She adds that, with its focus on acoustic performance, "I would say it's about being a singer."

'Goodbye Lullaby' took two and a half years to complete and its release was delayed several times. "Four years ago I put out my last album and it feels like forever. But two of those years I spent traveling around the world touring and promoting it," she reminds. "I'm anxious to get out there again. There will be a world tour promoting the new album and single in the new year."

Exactly when it will begin and when it will hit North America, "It's too early to say."

The entrepreneurial entertainer also has a new fragrance on the way, following her successful Black Star and Forbidden Rose perfumes. She says it will debut in August, and she just shot a commercial for it.

Then there's her burgeoning Abbey Dawn clothing line, which now ships to 50 countries via abbeydawn.com, in addition to selling in brick and mortar shops.

Plus, Avril continues to work with the charitable foundation she launched this year to help young people who are dealing with serious illnesses and disabilities. She's open to more film work even amid her hectic schedule. And of course, there's the man in her life, Brody -- whose name she had tattooed on her torso this past summer -- to keep happy.

How can she manage all that at once? "It's all about keeping a balance," insists Avril. "I work hard, and I also play hard."
